I did a load of these a year ago...have now moved on as did get a bit fed up with all of the little polystyrene beads...but love mine and were great gifts - nice and light and perfect for sitting in bed, lounging on settee etc!
You can place your tablet or book at many different positions, and much prefer this style to the ones with the fixed cushions bit at the front.
I cut piece of fabric 22 inches by 15 inches so finished size 10.5 by 14 approx, and also a little piece of ribbon so that they can be hung up!
Just fold on half so it is 11 by 15, and then stitch along 2 sides. Leave a gap along the underneath towards the top (for turning and then for filling), this was nice and neat as it will be on the back of the 'stand', and add the ribbon loop on shorter side.
So to summarise - sew short side with ribbon at beginning, turned did about an inch, left gap, then continued on long side.
Then you flatten out the other end so that the seam is now meeting the middle of the fabric and sew - turn inside out. Was super quick...filling was another matter! tried a few methods and ended up with a big cardboard box and made a funnel with card. Used a glass jar to scoop out beads as thought it might be less static than plastic...still got static. So sew lots and then fill lots and then get cleaner out!
I filled them with poly beads leaving about 3 inches free at the top, too full and you can’t place the tablet on them in many positions, so peg it and test it.
