Cornwall

The place we stayed in at Cornwall was lovely...you could walk into Mullion, walk to Mullion Cove and also to Polurrian Cove, this is a picture of the cove from the cliff tops. Unfortunately, the weather was quite chilly and windy for the most part. We did have sun for for the first couple of days, and at the end. Some of the days did brighten in the afternoon and Owen went into the Pool at the cottages before tea for a lot of days.
The place also had a big field where you could fly a kite - and so that was good fun, Owen bought a new kite in Falmouth and he got very proficient in stunts. We did have a small mishap when the rings broke and it was set free...quite amusing to see me running across fields to go and get it back - but I did manage it - while Owen watched on...no idea why I didn't send him!
Most evenings consisited of a table tennis match with Owen
We ent to Perranporth one day and it was lovely and sunny - but it was VERY windy - they had a little boating lake - Owen and I went out for a row! The wind was so strong Owen couldn;t make any headway - so I had to take over to get us into the middle of the lake and then Owen got the hang of it - he loved it.
This Seal was in St Ives bay - he kept coming up to see what we were all looking at! The day turned out to be bright and sunny in the end.
We also visited: Falmouth, Land End, Coverack, Helston, Porthleven, Gunwalloe to name a few - was a bit busier than normal due to the lack of sun!
These are just a few of the highlights - I will get some more photos together later and pop them in an album.
I did a bit of family history research and took pics of some gravestones in Gunwalloe church and managed to fing my ggg-Grandfather's grave and his father's too - which was quite exciting. One day I will get them sorted and put them on a web site. I do have quite a few that do not 'belong' to my family - so if you are researching Lugg, Hendy, Caddy and Freeman in the Gunwalloe/Cury/Mullion area I may have a picture.
