Card making January - part 1

Monday 25 January 2021

January has been on odd month, and I will catch up with posts on here this week.

Still in lockdown, so other half still shielding, and not in such good health really.  Mum has been in hospital since before Christmas with hip op following fall, she has now been home (carers etc to organise...lots of stress) and is now back in hospital....

So my January, in between all of these goings on, has been using my Distress inks (had some many moons ago), but bought a couple of these cute cubes sets before Christmas, now have tins for Christmas and birthday and several more sets...they do look cute can see why people get suckered into buying sets!

The first cards, where made using scraps of paper torn edges to act as a mask and then inking using those toothbrush style make up brushes - that are so lovely to use, and then stamping over the top.

I got the silhouette portrait out, and managed to update the driver using my old Samsung netbook that hadn't been switched on for 3 years, so was dead chuffed that the Portrait now works on Win10 once again.

The Happy Birthday greeting was cut twice and glued together, found a font that looks like joined up and sorted them out in the software to link.

These inked backgrounds were done before Christmas using sponges (much prefer the brushes) and stamped and decorated last week.

The mouse coffee stamp was new, and was bought for stamping on fabric, I had not checked size, and it isn't really what I was after.  Cute stamp though and stamping quality with those is great as always.

More to follow....
